Moving to Japan

In order to give you some idea of what will be involved, we have outlined the basic procedures that will take place

STEP 1: THE SURVEY / QUOTE

An initial meeting will be arranged at your convenience at your home with one of our consultants. The aim of the survey will be to assess your family's commitments and relocation plans, as well as gauge the volume of the items to be shipped and plan the logistics for the move. This should take up no longer than an hour to an hour and half, depending on the size of your residence. Once the survey has been completed, we will prepare a quote, which will then be sent out to you for your consideration.

STEP 2: DELIVERY OF PACKING MATERIALS

We will deliver some of the required materials prior to the move date so that, if you wish, you can pack some of your items yourselves.

STEP 3: THE DAY OF THE MOVE

On the day of the move, our packing team will arrive with your consultant and take a tour of the residence to confirm what is to be packed for sea freight and air freight, and what items are for disposal. Your belongings will be personally hand wrapped, packed and ready for shipping, using only the finest packing materials in the industry, selected from over 25 years of experience.

STEP 4: SHIPPING & CUSTOMS

Once your goods have been packed by our expert team, they will be brought back to our warehouse where they will be loaded onto a container and shipped to the destination country.
Our nominated agents at the destination country will deal with the customs clearance of your goods. Your consultant will discuss with you if there are any documents you need to complete for customs clearance at your destination.

STEP 5: AFTER ARRIVAL

Once you have arrived in your new homeland, our nominated agents will contact you in order to arrange a delivery date for your goods.
Upon delivery, we will fully unpack, set up any furniture, and place your items where you desire, or if you wish, we can partially unpack and collect the packing debris at a later date.

INSURANCE

Although we take every care to protect your goods whilst they are in our care, due to circumstances beyond our control, breakages or damage can occur. In order to give you complete peace of mind, we recommend to all of our customers that their possessions be insured.
Our policies are underwritten by major insurers providing complete peace of mind.
Your claims will be professionally handled and promptly settled to your complete satisfatction.
Your goods can be insured no matter where the destination.

CLEANING AND RUBBISH DISPOSAL

We are well aware of the fact that when considering relocation, a great deal of items need to be thrown away and disposed of. We are abel to take away any unwanted furniture and rubbish, as long as it does not include waste material, on the day of the move.
We can also provide a comprehensive spring clean of your residence after move, if requested.
